Sessions 1-3: Sermon Preparation & Personality in Preaching

Aims

By the end of this session you should be able to:

understand and describe at least one way of preparing a sermon
use hermeneutical skills and biblical knowledge to draw out key ideas and questions from scriptural texts to shape preaching
explore and discuss knowledgeably some more approaches to preaching
understand and describe how personality types and preferences affect our preaching
demonsrate the ability to reflect on your own preaching skills and those of others
